If you loved the horror video games of the 1980s, you might want to try Evil Dead: Regeneration. This game picks up right where the previous game left off, with Ash incarcerated in a mental institution for the criminally insane. He has been assigned a new sidekick, Ash, and must fight off the unholy creations of the mad scientist. This is a good time for a new adventure!

This game is a fun thought experiment, but it does have its flaws. Despite its mixed reviews, the game is still a lot of fun, and there are plenty of playthrough videos online. The main problem is that it’s not available on any modern machine, including the PS5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, or Steam. This is a pity, because the sequel will be a lot better.

In terms of gameplay, Evil Dead: Regeneration is a hack-and-slash game with some light puzzle elements. The premise is quite simple and the game features Bruce Campbell as the titular character Ash. The game also features the deadite sidekick Sam, who gets a fair kicking and can help you progress through the levels. However, you should not rely on this sidekick too heavily, as the game can be incredibly frustrating.
The sequel takes place in a different timeline from the first two movies. Instead of being sucked into the portal in Evil Dead 2, Ash was sent to Sunny Meadows mental asylum, a mental institution for the criminally insane. However, the residents of Sunny Meadows believed Ash was insane, and they tried to kill him. Eventually, Ash escapes from the asylum with the help of a security guard’s pistol. He also manages to find a chainsaw and clothing that he had hidden.
