In the first game, players are equipped with an RPG-2 rocket launcher. While it boasts immense destructive power, this weapon is extremely difficult to find and can be dangerous in close quarter battles. In «The Stalin Subway: Red Veil», a LPO-50 bipod-mounted flamethrower makes an appearance. This weapon is extremely powerful but has a short range. In the Soviet Union, RPG-2 rocket launchers were considered illegal and were removed from the game.

Weapons in The Stalin Subway vary widely in reality. The Tokarev TT-33 pistol was intended to be the primary weapon. The Walther P38 pistol was cut during development. The PPSH-41 submachine gun was intended to have a 30-round stick magazine, but later was replaced with a 71-round drum magazine. However, the Sten Mk V submachine gun may have been replaced by a prototype.
